What fun it was doing the DSM window just in time for Fashion week. After having the Bryony collection on display at Comme des Garcons Tokyo Trading Museum we thought it was time it came back home. The window was a great opportunity to show these amazing pieces to London. If you get a chance head on over its well worth it, then head up to the fouth floor to see the egg collection and have some yummy cake.

'Clothes Of The Land: Timeless Fashion', featuring the fascinating collection of homespun peasant clothing from 18th and early 19th century France, painstakingly amassed over many years by the famous English costume designer and textile expert, Bryony Thomasson.

Bryony was born in December 1933 and begun her career in textiles in the 1950s when she first took a stall in Portobello Road. She travelled widely in France and all over the world collecting textiles and clothes, and was a true adventurer as well as having a wonderful eye for colour, textiles and form.

Thanks for the loan of the collection to egg, London.

When I first went to Paris with my chum Georgie Colette was one of my favorite shoppies to look in, I was amazed by the crazy soccer esq CdG collection and all the little nic nacs and amazing books....mmmm. I then went back with Alec and Anna and we all loved it, it has everything in there for peeps like I (indecisive and easily distracted) a little bit of everything, art, fashion, photography, loads of books, random pens, exhibitions, things to play with and things i wish i was rich enough to play with. Sooooo there doing a swap shop this summer in London. Colette on my doorstep! amazing. Yup the Hoxton KesselsKrammer store is packing up from 2nd July all the way to 28th August to make way for Parisian bebe Colette. And Vice versa, KesselsKrammer will be hosted at the Colette store from the 6th July to the 31st July. SO i finally have something to look forward to. yippppeeee. I really need a holiday, maybe I can just pretend im in Paris all day when really im standing in Hoxton.

I saw this beautiful exhibition a while ago but only just stumbled back across my pictures whilst enjoying a nice coffee. I love Helens work i think its so fun and exciting to see popping colours, little shoes, animals and everything i love rolled into one. I really hope Helen makes some t-shirts with her work on them, I think they would be amazing and so so cute. If y'all dont know, the one and only fast eddie took me to Lady gaga for my Buffday. Check out fast eddiies blog right HERE and as you can all probably guess it was fooken amazing. Breathtaking, I knew I was going to be impressed but I was shocked. NOT BECAUSE OF THE BLOOD AND GUTS (dare i say give her a break manchester...) because ive never seen a show that had so much structure, it was like a ooooober cool story. My next mission in life is to save up (big time) and jet off to Japan. I've never been this eager to get to a place, I have never been before but Im sure Tokyo is where I belong right now. I cant wait (it WILL happen) im desperate. Until i finally make it there I have spent a lot of time reading random Japanese fashion blogs, online magazines and clicking every link possible of google.
Im not an exactly radically out there dresser but im in love with the street fashions. I just wana get accepted into a little street fashion gang and rule the streets in my mis matched socks and paper straight hair...mmmm im guna transform from a boring london gal into a beautiful crazy Japanese biatch.

new brief- fashion and music. pick an artist....any artist. design 100 and finalise a 6 outfit collection. sounds easy enough but oh my is it proving tricky. the 'ear/eye' co-ordination is tough. Its all about the music, we have to listen to the chosen artist and go to life drawing classes, draw how the music sounds....design how the music sounds. Pretty much wish I had synesthesia. I chose Kraftwerk though and im now getting really into it, which is surprising cos im not realllllyyyy normally into that sort of electro crazy sounds music but Kraftwerk are top of the game, always have been always will be. Thank you mum for making me listen to Autobahn as a kid. Other then having to listen to them 24/7 (yes im turning a bit robotic and keep think about frequencies) im have a whale of a time researching them, learning about all this mental technology they invented and their crazy robots and all. Its good. Im now pro technology, bring on the robots. Who'da thought I'd be the girl sat on the train blasting Kraftwerk and reading up about how to make a Robot, nuclear power plants and everything that goes with it! Man I wana go to Japan, right now its just calling me, it has everything I want. Comme and the most advanced Robots!

Comme des Garcons Paris love

All i can say is i wish that i had the cute red shoes of dorethys, not to wish my self home but to away, back to Paris, back to the amazing Place Vendome where the Comme bubble i love so much is! It was the best experience of my life, everyone was beyond kind and I made some good friends. Everyone around me dressed head to toe in Comme des Garcons was enough of a treat, it was like 'fashion eye candy' amazing. The whole thing was great, arriving on my first day to a collection description from Rei Kawakubo, Junya Wantanabe and TAO. Rei the beauty described hers at "outside decorations" it was breath taking being in the same room as all these people who I would give anything to have just a pinch of their innovative talent. Junyas collection breakdown is a little fuzzy in my mind because someone pretty much passed out on me- so it must have been good! And TAO was dreammmmmyyyy " a flowing journey ". The show rooms where amazing, the collections looked so stunning i pinched my self many times and couldnt quiet believe it all. Even the food they gave us was THE BEST food i have ever had, so so much better then the pizza and mini rolls (retch) i got given as a meal at my last little job (meaaooooww, i know) but there's nothing about Comme des Garcons thats bad, the people where great, the environment was perfect the atmosphere exciting, I love Madame Kawakubos work, like I said in my uni admission statement- if it wasn't for Comme des Garcons I wouldn't be going into fashion.
Other then eating amazing food and admiring amazing people- oh i just remembered Steven Jones did the hats and he was in the showroom one day, me and Daniela got super excited (cont from before) I was at work in the CDG CDG showroom. Helping clients and buyers from alllll over select whats going into their shops and dressing the in house models it what ever we or they wanted *even the models where lovely, friendly and of course b-e-a-utiful. It was heaven down to a T.
I do have plenty of piccys from the showrooms and of the new collections but I gotta wait a while before I upload just incase : ) I dont wana be in anyone bad books. So yeah, if you want to see me at my happiest then take me back to Paris. x

ima happy bunny. Fashion week approaching- as always really looking forward to it but im preparing myself for a week of extreme exhaustion. This season im doing something totally new for Fashion Week. My tutor has asked me and 4 others from the first year to work with her at Julien Macdonald for 3 days and nights. note- NIGHTS. We have been warned of long hours and hard work. Ill be doing 2 days before the show working on the collection fittings with the models (ooooo beautiessss at my finger tipsss) and then the day of the show. Im expecting to be a nervous wreck relying on the good old rescue remedy cos i wont be able to sew shiiiiiittt under pressure and sleep deprived. I going to sleep so much this week in preparation. Anyway im really pleased that Anette actually trusts me enough to pick me! all expenses paid whoop whoop = Coffee coffee coffee : ) I hope I can hack it, i heard from people who did it last year that they slept in shifts- 2 hours each then up you get and back to work...... wish me luck pretties, i expect ill look like death warmed up by the end of it all. Oh Joy!

Im so so excited about Paris!! I've just booked my ticket to Paris for Fashion Week! AMAZING : ) cant contain myself. Been emailing around for work, trying to pull some strinnnggss ; )

Im sure its going to be absolutely amazing. If i see Martin Margielas show i think ill drop dead with excitement. Oooooo I think its going to be a case of going to buy some lovely new bits so I look the part. Thank god my French lesson are going well, need to be fluent by next year! As i plan to be studying in France for 3 months! and ill be getting taught in French eeeeekkkk.

Also if you havnt been go to the Marc by Marc Jabocs shop in Mayfair- amazing, literally a designer pound shop, I had a field day. Go go check it ouuuut. Ill report back soon. I have exciting news to share.

I adopted the the nick name pea a while ago now, my sister is the founder and probably the person who uses it the most, she also always draw a pop of peas on anything she gives me and put a little arrow next to it saying- pea pod....so im proud to say I love peas. And i love the little green sweeties too, so there for ide like this PPQ all in one -

WHOOP WHOOP! I'm very excited about this one. My home boi Giorgio Enzo started interning at Wasted Youth, a music pr company in the city thats gOOOd. Has clients like Mumford and Sons, Keane, Scouting for Girls...Ok Go...er Fun Loving Criminals....thats all I know, yeah, there pretty good : ) . Anyways, Wasted Youth are the pr company doing da Destroy Rankin exhibition next week. Yeaa. And I get to go to the private view....WHOOP WHOOP(again). Its a exhibition of Rankins iconic portraits of musicians. As its part of National Youth Music Week loads of artists are playing, Jarvis Cocker (love) is doing a acoustic set, but thats not the night im going to. Soooo im guna see Patric Wolf and Micachu And The Shapes : ) pritay pleased. So its a all rounder really, photography and music...for some reason that reminds me of college...mmm. I was going through my folder I call the Bible (thanks alec) which is full of anything I find pretty and cool, mostly pictures I randomly drag off the internet that dont have much use other then to be collected and for me to come back across on a rainy day. So, way back in 07 A level days I did my final photography project on Sylvia Plath. One of my heroes and favorite people/poets/writers of all time. I think it all kicked off when I tried reading the Bell Jar as a 12 year old but ended up putting it away and revisiting when I was older and wiser!! Anyway, these images from W Magazine caught my eye then and still do now. Its not even because Gwyneth plays Plath in the movie 'Sylvia', in fact I didn't watch the movie until after I found these pictures and started the project, it was just the weird, eerie, distant feeling of them that made me rip them out my magazine and franticly glue them in my sketchbook. I like that she seems slightly unhinged...not sure how to explain it. But these are beauties and to be quiet frank anything that makes me think of Sylvia Plath deserves going into my Bible. I like incorporating Literature into my work, I did a design brief for my Fashion course that Plath formed inspiration for and was the basis of the whole thing. Its all about the crossover people! For real...mmm, maybe Im slightly obsessed...Have a lookie.

Let me tell you a little story....This time last year me and Alec had the worst job of our lives handing out flyers in Richmond, like little poor children we spent a lot of time groveling and the windows of shops longing for everything we couldn't afford. Anyway, The Russell and Bromley loafers (you know the ones, cute as a chubby baby, little tassels...) where stalking us, we really wanted to trot around in matching shoes.... I pretty much needed them! So when I was next at home I dragged my mum and step dad to the shop and pretty much begged and begged but Linc (the wisest shopper ever) was like "no Passi, I think you need to wait, these are so expensive, wait for the sale, shop around more first" la la la....so reluctantly I did. In the mean time I found some substitutes at Absolute vintage for only £25. Then the sales came and went, no reductions on the £125 shoes and still to this day no reductions!!!!A hole year one!! I need to stress how much Linc convinced me it "wasn't the time" to get them, pretty sure I can quote "its not the right time for them, just wait a while"....so I forgot about the little buggers UNTIL....I went shopping with the crew "oh look, a pop up vintage market, lets go in" la la la I find a cute dress, browse about then I see none other then the Russell & Bromley loafers, brand new, my size, being sold by a woman who got them, wore them once, they didn't fit her so was reluctantly selling them for a steal. So I bagged myself the dream lil shoes for a mere £38!! Thats what I call karma, it was as if they where actually there for me to buy. So weird. So yeah, I got new shoes and Linc was right, again! PEACE OUT.

Well Frieze Ar Fair was pretty good. boiling though and pretty packed with the slow type that make me surprisingly angry, I went on the first day though so what should I expect. I saw some amazing pieces, I really enjoyed the sculpture pieces. White Cube Gallery hello, love it. It was a beautiful day to so that was nice. I always get a little bit scared at Art Fairs because of the really strange pieces (in my opinion) that some craaazzzy artists make. The kinda stuff that could give me nightmares! Like this wax work of Hitler with a massive moth on his face, theres a picture below, creapy or what, I hate moths, there ugly and they eat my clothes. There was also this weird man in a hard hat that looked so real and his hands wobbled....There was lots of really lovely and pretty pieces too though, I just get scared easily. Twas a good balance!! I really recommend going if you can before its too late!! Amazing opportunity to see work by amazing artists from the worlds most prestigious galleries. Yes, it was very good. As it was a bit hectic and packed I didnt do anything clever like make note of the artists names and stuff to match with the pictures, so sorry!! hell yeah thats a 20 foot statue of Naomi Campbell with a passi pocket tag...yea mate, shoulda done it on the front...may have been slightly more appatising. This all happen at the Somerset House SHOWstudio Fashion Revolution exhibition, it was swell. I recommend you check it out. Its really cool, lots of my love Martin Margielas stuff so it was bound to impress me. Go see.

I have been moved in forever now but still have so much (please excuse) shit in boxes that I really dont want to open, although im sure Ive been thinking about where loads of stuff is recently and it all just clicked....anyway the good news is ill be whipping one thing this weekend and thats my knitting machine. The most old school baby there is, im pretty sure I wont be able to set it up without Ash....or remember how to use it. Im home alone and a tad uninspired by watching american teen dramas online all day so im going to go knit mad and post my creations on here! whoop whoop. Its rather exciting. I got given it by a amazing woman called Leila and its one of the best gifts ever!! I had a whirl at it in halls and I made a mouse, which unfortunately got eaten by a kitten. But now its getting cold i'm about to go knit mad, I hope I manage to make something half decent, jumper, scarf, socks, hat, mittens....just about anything I can knit I guess. Yeah, here goes. It will probably be a massive disappointment. Wish me luck!!!!

I guess im a bit of a shirt girl, I tend to find beauts in sales during the summer then the get chucked into my wardrobe until the cold comes. Im looking forward to digging some out this autumn, I got a lovely little Ann Demeulemeester shirt in a sale earlier this year that has a collar similar to these Miu Miu ones, they kinda remind me of party sandwiches....not sure why....And the prints! Well not quite, but when (and if) I do wed ill be wearing this Maison Martin Margiela Veil (favoring the white polka dots), Its a beaut. I spotted it in the 17th issue (aw09) of AnOther Magazine, one of the greatest ever! This is a super duper issue, loads of really interesting stuff it it. Its really good if you like reading lots of different stories and articles about a range of things. The piece about Gomorrah!?!?!omg, under police protection and in hiding for seven years then the one day your like 'yeah I can handle it, no body is after me anymore' BANG BANG. you dead. Yeah, messy. What I just told you wont ruin the movie or anything, thats what happen to someone is the real Gomorrah, actually the gangs real name in Camorra. Its really worth a watch. Anyway this has gone so off the subject....the veil! Yes! Le voile exquis. Da dum da dum... (isle song) love it. Sorry about the quality of the ones shot with my phone... : )

If you know me then you will know I hugely favor boots! Little boots to be more precise, not because of my childlike sized feet but the small feeling. I duno, its probably down to the childlike feet. But Im pretty much always wearing either my patent Russell and Bromley lace ups or my Ralph Lauren Chelsea Boots, something about boots makes me happy. I really want the Chloe Sevigny buckle boots to complete/add to my bootie wardrobe. But at over a months rent worth of cash I cant get them : (
Anyway in a bid to make me feel better my friend sent me a alternative! But alas these babies are Ann Demeulemeester so yet again I cant afford them! But I can dream, and nothing can stop me doing that. The morel of this boot story is that I really really need a pair of boots, heels, shoes, whatever! That have laces or other strappy buckles and such things that make the shoe look very stuck on!! Maybe thats where my boot love comes from, a fear of my shoes falling off....mmmm...the weird thing is thats probably the truth. pocket love booties. what ya guna doooo.

Whitewall Magazine is one of my favorites. If you like a good stern read and are interested in Art and the crossover between Fashion and Contemporary Art then Whitewall is the magazine for you. Yeah its like £15 but its worth the pennies peeps. The fall issue is the annual Fashion Issue and its really really interesting. A great interview with Karl Lagerfeld that I had to show you the pictures from because i love them! Plus another priceless piece with David La Chapelle. Im not going to tell you anything about it because I think you should read it, if you dont want a hard copy or to clear out you purse then click here and you can read the online edition!!

I know I know it sounds lame. But im tired and trying to squeeze in a post before I leave for uni because I know after Ill be so tired that I might as well do it now faster as opposed to later when it will take me hours to scrabble together my sentences. I've done some more work experience at Snow PR!! Very fun experience may I add. I like preparing packages of pretty things to send out to people, it goes hand in hand with me being slightly obsessed by Christmas and other peoples birthdays. I guess its the novelty of unwrapping...any way my first day this week entailed a lot of this (preparing send outs) which I found really fun becuase I got to choose things myself that fitted the brief with the girls that work at Snow full time. One might say I mildly dabbled in the styling department. oh ahh. Anyway, yesterday I was there again all day and it was soooo much fun! Me ash and Cee had to re do the entire show room, get rid of old season gross things and pick and choose the newbies that are show room worthy. I'm very glad to say that they loved we we did which is always nice to here, I just hope all the clients are happy with it to! And as a thank you they gave us all a pair of EMU boots COSY COSY COSY!! Im not the type to wear them around with a Jack Wills hoodie but I will wear them around the gaff as they are perfect for lazy days and keeping my toes tip top warm and such a lovlie gift to receive for someone who has a phobia of being cold. I must be doing something right ayy!! I've taken some not so arty piccys on my phone of the show room, its all a bit unclear but you can get a gist of the place! Anyway Im guna chilllll out now and look forward to a weekend of sweet f all...

The pr company I worked for during fashion week- being Snow PR have asked me to go go in a couple days this week! Im very happy because it means I must be doing something right! And as I mentioned before they where all so lovely, not at all like this screwed up perception of what people within the fashion industry should be like. Its so much easier to be friendly so I dont get it when people boss you about and act all special. Not guna mention any names but I did meet some not so nice people at one of the shows I did. Get down off that hight horse I say! So yes, after being oh so happy about the fact I could lie in tomorrow that little plan just flew out the window. Have to be in the office for 9am! woowwzeerzzz. I feel very business like!

After a solid week of work at LFW, I was over the moon to end on such a good note in such a pleasant atmosphere- the Paul Smith ss10 show, I couldnt have wished for anything more. It was my second season running and it was such a amazing thing to be part of. Due to the god awful postal strike I spent weeks worrying I wasnt guna make it as my pass didn't arrive but luckily I was given a new one (my theory is some little postman stole it and went to the show). It was surprisingly calm and everything was organised down to a t, no running around and trying to track down models that were still in other shows! It was a relief after one of the longest weeks of my life! Back stage the hosts Claridges (heaven) where providing tea and cakes (the best ive ever had) the beautiful models cough cough Coco where getting ready....everything was tip top. Paul Smith was walking around balancing a book on his head. A book that he wrote the preface for and also features one of his ss 10 suits on the front cover - Gentlemen of Bakongo! by Daniele Tamagni! The front cover is one of the best photographs ive ever seen! Same one was used for the invites, you can see it on my dodgy scan above.
Any way, the collection was amazing. As always he hit the nail on the head, full of mix and match colours and patterns for a very fun summer! It still conveyed the amazing british eccentricity that to me Paul Smith is all about. Clean cut suits, popping colours, beautiful brogues.....ahh the compliments are endless. I have selected a few of my fave bits to show you. It was all very over exciting as I got a kiss (on the cheek) from the big man him self. I cant wait till next season!

Pam Hogg London Fashion Week

I feel so so lucky that I got work with Snow PR (possibly the nicest company in the whole world) for Fashion Week. The preparation work as a bit tiresome, writing invites, posting invites etc (yawn) but the overall experience was probably one of the best of my life so far. I got to work 3 amazing shows with them, Pam Hogg being the first. It was absolutely breath taking. The location was like non other, underground car park just off the Strand by day, by night and gritty fashion heaven. It had this really cool warehouse/derelict feel. Twas brilllliant. Then I had a bit of a fit when I noticed my favorite model Isa was modeling...mmmm. Plus beauties like Alice Dellal and Daisy Lowe. hawt. Any way the show was amazing and If I had the bottle or body to wear one of Hoggs cat suits id live in them. Super sexy garms, full of boob exposure....Pam you sexy bint. I think its safe to say revealing cut outs are guna be big for ss 10. Unfortunately my pictures where a bit wack so I have pinched a couple from the on/off website to mix it up a bit. Oh yeah, I also met Boy George. lol. the first few are pre show, I couldn't resist the Isa one (not wearing Pam Hogg incase you couldn't guess)

Recently everything is such a confusing mess! I went back to uni today and of course got a brief within a hour! In a nut shell telling me to get work for Fashion Week, learn from Fashion Week and then to do a presentation...on Fashion Week! Identifying 3 key trends for s/s10.....I have one week to prepare!! Luckily I have managed to get work lined up...some fairly glamourous, like working the Paul Smith show again (smile) and others meaning that Im writing invitations out for Pam Hoggs show on my afternoon off. Not so glamourous I know but experience is experience! It should get my foot in the door for Snow PR and ill get to work at the Pam Hogg On/Off show (another smile) and if im lucky other shows that Snow PR and handling at On/Off. Mmmmmm so I should have pleantly to write about and do my presentation on! Its all very exciting folks. Fashion Week here I come!!!

Brigitte Bardot/Original sex kitten

Ahhh alas, today I trekked into central to go to the Brigitte Bardot and the original Paparazzi exhibition at the James Hyman Gallery. Then for some stupid reason at peak time on a saturday afternoon it was shut for no reason so I had to press my face against a once very clean window to catch a glimpse of anything Bardot. BUT Im making another trip over as soon as I can scrape together some more cash...for now Im left with a beautiful memory and the joy of being able to research the images the net- not quiet the same but will have to do!
What fascinates me is how much the paps have clearly grown hungrier and hungrier over time (pricks)- its actually pretty scary! Some of the photographs are so chic and beautiful its difficult to believe that they where taken by paparazzi, nowadays the best we get is a shot of some wank celebrities bikini line. I'd much rather see these beauties of Bardot running around France playing cat and mouse with her many pursuers, perfectly capturing the mood and atmosphere of 60's France...oooohhhh how I wish I could have experienced it. Maybe in another life ....I mean 60's France!! I'll be seeing the exhibition a lot sooner than that I hope!! Any way, blabbing over, here are a very very few from the exhibition that I picked of the net. You must go see it to! The Gallery is on Saville Row. Its a stonker folks!!!

I want it, I want it, pleeeaaaassee. Why cant I have just a little bit of cash flowww. Seriously i'm getting so tired of being poor right now. I've already mapped out numerous shopping trips in my head and have planned what i'm wearing and where without even owning any of the garms yet (cool, i know i know). So....COS is my favorite highstreet(ish) shop. Its diverse, modern, simple and has a edge to it that thank *uck not every tom dick and harry will like. If you dont know me sooooo well you should know how angry it makes me to think of places like (cough cough) Topshop (sorry peeps) that just throw up fashion for people who need to be force fed it as if they cant think for themselves. I do believe in staple items and all that shizz so places like Topshop and H&M are ideal for (certain) bits but it hardly gives you a strong identity to wear it head to toe, it makes you a window display for companies that drive slave labour. Im crankey and tired so am going to quit the rant and show y'all the beauts I have my eye on (hello beautiful riding trousers, i'd love a go please).

Roksanda, Roksanda, Roksanda....your proving to be a re-occurring character in my blogging life. No doubt after Fashion Week I will be writing yet another post on you but lets focus on the here and now ayy! Or maybe a little bit of the future...Here is a little selection of designs from the S/S 10 pre collection. Pretty huh? I love the colours, the draping and of course the ruffle and tuffle inspired by the ever romantic rose, a seriously indulgent component of Roksandas designs. How can anyone deny the combination of romance and such a p.r.e.t.t.y. piece !
Im looking forward to seeing the limited edition cocktail dresses Ilinic will be doing for Whistles this September, I'm sure that it will be worth the extra saving of pocket money, after all its an investment.( i like to hammer this into my head so I feel a little less guilty when I spend my loan on clothes I shouldn't reeeaaallly be buying). Anyway, I definitely need a new cocktail dress.
On another note I should be working at her Fashion show this LFW with Mandi Lennard (YAY)!!! So ill get a chance to look but not touch some of the most appetising dresses of the season. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

‘Mat, Satiné, Brillant’

As a flu bug stuck in the house I couldn't help but wish I could morph it into a clinical white heaven, similar to the likes of the Maison Martin Margiela exhibition that happen back in april in Millan/the original in Paris. Its introduces his concepts of interior design through the instillation 'Mat, Satine, Brillant' . Its a exact reproduction of the b-e-a-utiful interior design workshop in the Paris head quarters. Where all the magic happens. I'm feeling a bit drowsy so the length of detail in this post is limited, I'm just fantasying about my heros 'pad' and how I'm so so sure I'd feel on top of the world if I could be dropped in there. Pretty amazing to be able to just double a place, one in Paris, one in Millan (bring it to my living room?). Its interesting to see how and where the genius works I LOVE HIMMMM. It has a similar feeling/mood to my ma and step pops works, the whole family are big fans of his, (but not in a creepy way)... the old but new thing, dirty but clean, worn to the bone but pristine. I'm blabbing... all I know is I have a head ache and I'm sure I wouldn't if I was there. Someone?!?! Private jet you wana lend me?? Time Machine too??

Hello everyone. I've been completely engrossed in the rumors about Tim Burtons Alice In Wonderland ever since they stared, so yesterday when I saw the trailer I was like wtf!!! Youtube that shiz (link), its soooo exciting. And as often, the legend costume designer Colleen Atwood has been on the case. Dressing Johnny Depp!?!?! YES PLEASE!!! She does go hand in hand with the whole Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp trio, and does a ammmmazing job. Alice is a actress I admit I haven't really heard of.... Mia Wasikowska?!! Needless to say we all will as soon as this babies out of the bag. Any whoo go Collen Atwood for yet nailing another, it ill no doubt add to the endless awards and nominations up her (I'm sure beautiful) sleeves. Anyway, its not out till March 2010 so we have a bit of a wait : ( heres some piccys. I'de love to be in ANY of their shoes x x

Angel-A. The French fantasy.

Angel-A is a amazing film. Really beautifully directed, I wanted to jump into my laptop and run around Paris. Luc Besson is a genius. Bessons film Leon has been my favorite film since I was like 11, my mum wasn't impressed when I watched it with my dad on new years eve as little 11 year old but im so glad I did!! Anyway Angel-A was the first film Luc Besson had directed after a 7 year gap. He sure aint lost his touch. Its so pretty and generally amazing. Set in Paris (love), beautiful in its simplicity, supernatural, a true fantasy. I havnt seen anything like this. Its well worth a watch! Its now a new favorite.

She amazes me.Im also excited because I have been waiting till the sun comes out to wear my aamzzziiinn sale purchase Ann Demeulemeester shirt. Its so cute and spotty and has really cool sleeves..... Tomorrow (7th April) the Year O Fashion Design students at UCA are having a wee fashion show. If your at UCA and have some time to kill y'all should come along. Its at 10.30 am (I know, weird time but hay) in the glass link building. It will be all of our first works as fashion students!! So come along if you fancy a gander.

Is it time for holiday yet?

Ohh dear! I'm oh so very exhausted from Uni right now. My apologies for not posting in a while. I cant wait till Monday mornings hand in, well and truely worked out! I have to admit I have been slightly distracted at the moment! I'll uploads pictures from our Fashion Show thats on Tuesday once its done! eeeekkkk. And then I only have a few sleeps left till I elope to Paris with my boyfriend. Im so excited . I plan to roam the back streets and make sure everything I get is a bargain! And to eat the best Falafel in the world. Flee Markets and thrift stores here I come. One shop im especially looking forward to going to is L'eclaireur, knocking on that big blue door until some mysterious little person lets me in! Although im sure it will be more like a buzzer and intercom....oh well. Don't you think it looks fascinating? A tad scary and intimidating but im there! Especially as it has work form some of my favorites, Martin Margiela, Comme Des Garcons, Dries Van Noten so on and so forth....

I cant wait to just wind down and chill. With coffee and cigarettes : ) oh I love Paris in the Spring timeeee la la la.

On another note, i'm in love with Select Models Isa. Shes just so damn fine. Please please please god make my legs as long as hers.

The Mad Hatter

Today I took a little day trip to london to have a wee mooch around some shops and to go to the V&As 'An Anthology by Stephen Jones'. I'd wanted to see this since it started so was pretty siked..... Then I got there and the lady on the desk was like "no entry for another 20 minutes" which is one of the most annoying things ever when you have queued for yonks. I managed to get my way in early but it was so packed I couldn't move and there was the old 'no photography' rule, plus it was dark in there so couldn't even sneak some pics due to the insane flashing!! Darn it....

The exhibition was truely splendid but don't go on a friday afternoon, busy busy!! The hats where so fasinating, some where really cute and others where pretty mad. I loved the ones that where all geometric and a bit crazy (my 'shapes' brief is taking over me). Also the beaut that Audrey Hepburn had in My Fair Lady. Promise you will go! I have never seen so many hats in one room. I now LOVE hates. When im old and hopefully have some more spare pennies I will have a Stephen Jones hat! And ill wear it to all the weddings and be the one with the mad hat!!! Ahhhh dreams.

Anyway the exhibition is on till the 31st May so everyone has a chance to go! Its a gooden and just £4 if your a student or a oldie. Yipppeeeeeee.

Comme des Garçons. The future of Black.

I'm fascinated by the Comme des Garcons S/S ready to wear collection. Rei Kawakubo has experimented loads with shape and proportion. There's a clear influence on the catwalks for designers to look at geometric shapes taking fashion back to basics. At the moment the brief on my course is the same, we have to construct a garment with a single shape, looking at how ancient cultures used basic forms and so on, so i'm defiantly not short for inspiration at the moment!

Rei Kawakubo has chosen a challenging hexagon, using a patchwork type style on some garments she has created the cutest cocooning skirts and pouffy tops. Some look like deconstructed footballs! Especially the bag I saw in Dover Street Market (I wish I was minted, I wanted everything). I love pretty much the whole lot, the black vinyl leather has quite a sinister/angry feeling, this with the messy, tatty chiffon makes the ideal balance. I'd love to get into that woman's head! The collection is going be a huge success and mahousivly influential for designers world wide (inc. me). I really really hope I can get a work placement with Comme des Garcons somewhere amongst the business, ooohhhh how I would be so happy, i'm finding out about it at the moment, some strings need to be pulled but ill make sure it gets done!! Let me know if you love the collection as much as me!

EMMA BELL love love love (and the party of a lifetime)

Hip hip horrayyyyy, yesterday I saw my second Emma Bell show and it made me feel all fuzzy and happy inside. This time I made the right move of filming it because I just knew it was guna be a gooden! Sorry about the dodgy quality, I couldn't take the beastly camera in with me yesterday so had to make do with my phone : ( ohhhh welll its better then nothing right!!!!

Keep your eyes peeled for Sam and Amanda on the catwalk, the dogs they have are so so sweet, I really wanted to cuddle/steal them!

Ok I cant contain my excitement any longer!!! Last night was probably one of THE best nights of my 19 years on this earth. I went to Henry Hollands after party with some of my bestie buds and it was a bloody blast!!!! Kanye West fancied a song so he sang!! And I didn't find the urge to kick any of the celebs I thought I wanted to (wont say who just in case...) all in all I had a amazing time!!!! THEN the after after party moved to Mahikis, which is great if you have a endless pocket full of money!! So as its by birthday soon who wants to buy me one of their treasure chests???come on!!! Its only £100??We can share!!! Oh and thank you who ever the guy was who got the Vodka in, much appreciated!!!

Any way heres a really terrible video of Kanye rippen' it up, I love the fact his glasses are off....then I do some messed up thing with my phone for a second and suddenly he has glasses on..mmmm, well it made me laugh!!

Paul Smith a/w 09 (your amazing)

As I mentioned in my post 'fun fun friday', me and Ashley got jobs at Paul Smiths a/w London Fashion Wee k show. The show was last night and it was so adorable. The collection was so perfectly English, lots of tweeds, pretty hats with feathers and the cutest floral prints. I was completely in awe and loved every moment of it. Even the venue was perfect for the occasion. The show was held at Claridges in Mayfair so the typically English location went with the collection superbly. I couldn't have picked anywhere more perfect for it. As I was front of house seating I didn't have a chance to take any photos (I doubt it would have looked very professional...), so I have been a bit cheeky and taken a few pictures from style.com so you guys can have a look at a few bits from the collection that I wouldn't mind getting my mits on.

After the show back stage I went up to Paul to congratulate him and say thank you and he was SUCH a lovely person, soooo friendly and approachable! Paul Smith is THE most perfect company in the world to work for, everyone was so friendly and the whole evening was so relaxed and easy going, just like things sound be!

Roksanda graduated at Central Saint Martins with a MA in womenswear, so as always for Saint Martins my expectations where pretty high, and she well and truly fulfilled them. The collection was so girly and, well..... shiny!! I wanted to jump on the models as they walked past! The venue of the show, Gladstone Library in Embankment was so grand and amazing I felt so out of place trotting up the MASSIVE staircase. Oh well, I got a free pink Barbie chocolate (it was soooo yum) the show was sponsored by Barbie! (how perfect) Unfortunately I couldn't grab myself a goody bag which had a brand new barbie in it!!! I told you it was girly!

Backstage At ioannisdimitrousis

Wowzers. Yesterday was such a brilliant day. My lovely friend Vicky from Let Them Eat Cake magazine got Bryony, Heidi and me jobs at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout ioannisdimitrousis show.
The collection was totally stunning, woven chains and hanging needles made it truely individual. Everything down to the sound the garments made was perfect. The finale needle dress made this beautiful gentle jingle noise, it was oh so amazing. The Silver and deep reds reminded me of knights in battle!! It was all pretty intimidating to lil old me. I had never done dressing before so was pretty freaked out about the fact I might break/rip/ruin something! But luckily it all went really well, having said that I had a pretty huge challenge of getting my model Ismini into the shows finale dress! Which was completely covered in needles!! Ouch! I was soooo scared she would get stabbed in the eye! Plus it weighed so much I literally couldn't hold it on my own. But the show must go on, and it did! Heres a small collection of photos I snapped up At the V&A Young British Designers private view. The work was bloooody brilliant, I take my hat off too everyone involved. The atmosphere was amazing, the place was packed out and the DJ was greeaaattt! I took photos of a few people who caught my eye and were definitely Passi Pocket blog worthy. I have to admit I'm not overly impressed with the first issue of LOVE magazine. First impressions deffo matter and LOVE's were pretty low. I don't know about you but I am still bitter about saying good-bye to POP as I found it a very pleasant read indeed, (fare well, princess pop). I don't reaalllly understand why Katie Grand stopped doing one magazine just to start another when the first one was perfectly fine?! But it seems that was the problemo, POP was too perfect! (How confusssssing). And lets face it when Conde Nast offer you and your team a masssive bundle of money to buy you over from Emap to start a new magazine not many people would say no! Conde Nast has some of the words leading fashion magazines under its sleeve, such as Vogue, Glamour and GQ, now adding LOVE to their list! Lets hope it's as successful as POP was. Also.....

I read a little rumor that Katie Grand has promised to ban the use of size zero models for shoots in LOVE and is guna steer clear of airbrushing...mmmm. So I suppose there was no better woman to put on the cover other than a very naked Beth Ditto. Good on her! But I find the lack of nipples a wee bit suspicious..... and pretty freaky looking.

What really ticks me off about LOVE is the excessive amount of advertising. It's re-dic. Only at page 81 (!!!) did I finally come to the magazines first piece. An A-Z of everything LOVE loves, in alphabetical order! It was a pre-tey long read with almost every other page being another ad. But alas, despite this there is a bundle of beauty in LOVE that makes it worth a read (and the £5 that I really can't afford at the mo). I just think that POP had it better and it's guna be missed all round. Anyway its early days and all that so i'll wait and see what happens in the next issue....I'm looking forward to it!!

I was friggen stoked when I ran out the door and was nearly taken out by the postman. For the reason that he actually had the mail I had been waiting for the past 2 weeks "yyeeeessssss".

My backstage staff pass for Paul Smiths London Fashion Week show finally came! I'm REALLY excited as I have been a through and through fan of his ever since I was a wee lass, back in the day when me and my sister had his bright orange flannel jumpers (I love-love-loved that jumper). But now I just love the fact that I get to see his show AND get some pretty darn good work experience....

BUT.... (and there's always a but) what the hell do I wear to fashion show where i'll be 'seating and greeting' top dogs?! As if I don't have this problem enough! Help meeee!

Fun Fun Friday

Roll on Friday. I have a feeling it's going to be friggen fantabulous!!

Firstly its day 1 of London Fashion Week, nope I don't have any tickets for any of fridays shows (unfortunate, i know) but I will be trying to sneak my way in again like I did with Vivienne Westwood (my proudest moment ever, had to drop it in). Then my plans get more promising...the V&A have a private view for Young British Designers with the work of LCFs MA students so it should be goooood so if your interested go to! (check it on facebook) and I wont have to sneak anywhere for that one, phew. Although, I do love a good sneak.

And then comes the grand finale, after drink and food on the go with no time for getting ready....THE MACCABEES at matter !!! "whoop whoop". Hell yeah! It should be a barrel of laughs, as long as I dont break/ruin something which always seems to happen at their gigs. They've just released their new single 'No Kind Words' which is worth a tinkle and is up for free download. The deets are on their Myspace here.
